Streaming With WireCast and Subsplash For Recording

  • If WireCast is open, exit (close) WireCast.

  • Open (reopen) WireCast to set defaults.

  • In WireCast, set proper shots (PPNoImage, CountDown040730.mp4) and select the
  • Monitor Configuration Button to display screens in room.



  • In SubSplash (Media>Live), create a new Live Stream (Create Live Stream button). 

  • Name the stream Wednesday Recording MM/DD/YY



  • For Schedule, set the date and time that the recording stream will begin.



  • In the Draft area, set the visibility to Unlisted. Click the Schedule button.



  • At the determined time, start the stream.

  • After the stream/recording has ended, wait 20-30 minutes.

  • Edit the upcoming live stream. Update the Title, Description and Tags (Speaker and Topics).




  • Under Stream Type, select Simulated-live.

  • Select browse recent.

  • Under Select file, the recording should be the most recent (uppermost) file in the list. 

  • The name format for the file will be based upon the start time of the recording:
  •         Live_YYYY_MM_DD_HHMM.mp4
  •  
  • The hour and minutes will be in West Coast time,
  • 3 hours earlier than the observed record time.


  •  Select the file and click the Apply button.

  • Save the changes.
